Wausau VA to relocate, expands to Rothschild Shopko location

ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAW) - By January 2022, veterans in central Wisconsin will have more options when it comes to VA health services. The Tomah VA finalized the purchase of the Shopko building in Rothschild on Tuesday. The clinic is expected to offer services for vision, hearing, and dental work. But since the Shopko building is so much bigger than the current location, the VA will bring new programs, too.

New National Hub for Hansen’s Disease Research Opens

A new center for the treatment and cure of Hansen's disease — formerly called leprosy — that helps patients from throughout the mainland U.S. and Puerto Rico officially opened in Baton Rouge on Tuesday. It's the third move in the 126-year history of the National Hansen's Disease Program, headquartered in Louisiana. For the past 20 years, the program has operated in two buildings on the campus of Ochsner Medical Center on O'Neal Lane. Now it's operating in one, three-story building at 9181 Interline Ave.

Brownsburg, VA Clinic Event

Brownsburg VA,-A $75 Million facility will house 12 primary care teams capable of providing health care services to 20,000 Veterans. Mental health, specialty services, physical therapy, optometry, audiology, and other support services will also be housed in the new clinic to open in the fall of 2021. The lease was awarded to JTW Development in 2019, a firm with 36 years of experience in developing projects for the government.

2nd Santa Rosa VA clinic eyed for 2020 groundbreaking

Construction of a Veterans Administration community-based outpatient clinic in Santa Rosa is scheduled to begin later this year and completion 14 months later, according to Jason Dominguez, deputy public affairs officer with the San Francisco VA Health Care System.

New, Bigger VA Clinic Opening in Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. - More veterans are utilizing the VA Clinic in Rochester, creating a need for some more space.

On July 22, the clinic will move to a bigger location at 3551 Commercial Drive in Southwest Rochester. The current location is about 9,500 square feet. The new location is a little over 16,000 square feet.
